Seville’s 2010 Bienal de Flamenco revs up its engines in Italy. The show ‘Noche de Sevilla’ was presented on Sunday, September 20th, 2009 at the Piazza Navona in the capital in order to promote the next edition of Seville’s macro-festival before the Italian audience and at the same time close Rome’s 2009 ¡Flamenco! Festival. In front of the Bernini fountains and over 2.000 people, a gala took place including the participation of guitarists Manolo Franco and Niño de Pura, cantaor José de la Tomasa, and bailaores Milagros Mengíbar, Antonio Canales and Pastora Galván, with their respective groups. The Bienal’s sixteenth edition will be held at different theaters in Seville (Spain) from September 15th to October 9th, 2010 with the slogan ‘Flamenco de viva voz’ (‘Flamenco Personally’).
