Rubem Dantas brings together flamenco jazz greats in a tribute to Camarón and Paco de Lucía. Brazilian percussionist Rubem Dantas has managed to put together in a big band - aiming to continue - outstanding members of the Algeciras-born guitarist's septet, among them, Jorge Pardo, Carles Benavent y Duquende; and other artists of the flamenco jazz wave such as Carlos Carli and Jerry González. Together they are going to perform the repertoire of the two flamenco geniuses in a concert that will take place on Wednesday, August 25th, 2004 in Caños de Meca (Cádiz, Spain), at matador Rafael Ortega's bullring at the El Acebuche estate (for further information, next to the Ohjú discotheque). This show is the grand finale of the 2nd International Music and Dance Didactic Encounter which the percussionist has been directing at this point on the Cádiz coast since August 17th, with the participation of some of the aforementioned musicians as instructors.
