The new Sevilla entre Culturas Festival puts the accent on flamenco. Antonio Canales, El Lebrijano, Chano Domínguez, Andalusia Flamenco Ballet... are some of the flamenco names figuring on the bill of the Sevilla entre Culturas (Seville between Cultures) Festival, which is to be held at various stages in the city from December 26th, 2005 to January 11th, 2006. The Teatro Lope de Vega will host ‘Diálogo Jóvenes’ on December 28th and 29th with El Lebrijano, Segundo Falcón, Paco Jarana, Salvador Gutiérrez, Antonio Coronel and Pedro Ricardo Miño, sharing music with the Chekkara Orchestra of Tetouan and the Maharajá Orchestra of Rajasthan. The second dialogue will be established January 3rd and 4th between Chano Domínguez and Martirio, and Chucho Valdés and Omara Portuondo. In the third show, on January 6th and 7th, Miguel Poveda converses at the Teatro Central with Argentinean Rodolfo Mederos. Antonio Canales will be at the Teatro Central on January 9th and 10th, and Andalusia Flamenco Ballet will perform at the Teatro Lope de Vega on the 11th, completing the flamenco section of the festival, which will also be host to New York's American Ballet and the Mexico Symphony Orchestra.
