With the title 'Puro Gayardó', the
Madrilenian tablao Casa Patas and producer RGB Arte Visual are launching a flamenco
show adapted to the proximity of the small stage on DVD. A group consisting of
a pair of dancers, singers and guitarists perform a repertoire which goes from
the seguiriya to bulerías, with such diverse styles as alegrías
and the farruca in between. This live show is born as the first part of the planned
series 'Noches en Casa Patas'.

"Like good coffee, it's overflowing with
strength and flavor". That's how the DVD premiering the collection 'Noches
en Casa Patas' is presented, making a reference to the meaning of its title in
Gypsy dialect. With a duration of nearly one hour, 'Puro Gayardó' reviews
essential flamenco styles such as the seguiriya ('Pasos que se vuelven'), bulerías,
the soleá ('A mi Mario'), alegrías ('Luna y sal') and the farruca
('En tu gloria').
The group is headed by the dancer couple formed
by Mari Paz Lucena, a Granada-born artist who has been a member of the companies
of Mario Maya, Manolete and Güito; and Miguel Téllez, who has already
been in the companies of Carmen Cortés, La Tati and Güito. The duo
is accompanied by singers Emilio Gabarre, Leo Triviño and El Porras; and
by guitarists Pepe Maya, the son of Juan Maya Marote, and Juan Serrano.
The troupe of artists making up the group
offer different combinations on stage around said styles: male solo dancing, female
solo dancing, dancing duo, instrumental songs, cante with guitar and party. The
recital is recorded live at one of the most renowned tablaos in Madrid, Casa Patas,
on whose bill the group appears regularly.
