Los Veranos del Corral 2011 renews its flamenco dancing showcase
in Granada

With the satisfaction
of having served as a launchpad for many bailaores of the
latest generation throughout its twelve editions, Los Veranos
del Corral proposes a new date with flamenco dancing. Its
thirteenth edition is to be held from July 18th to August
11th at the singular enclave of Granada’s Corral del
Carbón. According to the organization, this year
“the series isn’t so intent on making discoveries;
rather, it sets out to stage a showcase of consolidated
bailaores and bailaoras to enjoy an extensive as possible
panorama of today’s esthetic trends”. Consolidated
bailaores such as Belén
Maya, Isabel Bayón and Rafaela Carrasco, already
experienced young talents like Manuel Liñán,
Mercedes Ruiz and La Moneta, maestras such as Milagros Mengíbar
and names which are beginning to go solo like David Coria
and Patricia Guerrero, among others, are part of this summer
program.
