Flamenco continues to show its solidarity with the victims of the tsunami. And it is going to show it with no limits. Flamencos por Japón is the title that links the two benefit concerts to be held in Seville and Cordoba to raise funds to be donated to the affected. The first meeting will be at the Auditorio Rocío Jurado de La Cartuja in Seville on June 2nd, with artists such as Esperanza Fernández, Dorantes, Rocío Molina, José Valencia and Javier Barón, among many others, confirmed on the bill. They will be joined at the gala -with artistic direction by Javier Puga- by wo representative artists of the dialogue between flamenco and japanese culture: pianist Mie Matsumura, in concert and, as master of ceremonies, the teacher and promoter Yoko Komatsubara. The second concert will take place at the Teatro de la Axerquía in Cordoba on June 3rd. The schedule announces the performance of El Pele, Javier Latorre (artistic director of the act), David Lagos, David Palomar, La Moneta, Melchora Ortega and Pedro Ricardo Miño, among others, with the special collaboration of japanese veteran teacher Shoji Kojima and dancer Antonio Alonso, who is living from years on Japanese soil.
