Flamenco guitarist Niño Josele presents the album ‘Española’ live

The concert is on April 27th, 2010 at the Teatro Lara in Madrid

Although he chose New York’s Village Vanguard for the premiere last October, Niño Josele had the presentation pending of his new album ‘Española’ in Spain. And he will do so with a concert scheduled for April 27th, 2010 at Madrid’s Teatro Lara, taking a halt in Paco de Lucía’s tour. The disc, produced by Fernando Trueba, once again feeds the relationship which the Almería-born musician established between flamenco and jazz on his previous album ‘Paz’, this time in the company of instrumentalists such as saxophonist Ralph Bowen, bass player Alain Pérez and the legendary Phil Woods. In fact, the title is taken from a song by McCoy Tyner which he opens the record with. The rest are scores of his own like the rondeña ‘Camino de Lucía’, ‘Zapateado para Bebo’ and the seguiriya ‘Balcón de luna’. Tickets are already on sale at www.telentrada.com
