Cante and baile are shared out on the bill of the 2008 Mistela Flamenco Festival. The event, scheduled for June 2nd to 7th, 2008, will have star performances by flamenco vocalists such as El Pele, Miguel Poveda and Argentina, who is moreover to receive the award for young talents Venencia Flamenca 2008. Baile will be in charge of kicking things off at the Teatro Municipal in the Seville-area town of Los Palacios y Villafranca. And it does so by the hand of one of its locals, bailaor El Mistela, presenting his show 'Del corazón al tacón'. Granada-born Fuensanta la Moneta puts on her first solo show, 'De entre la luna y los hombres'. There will also be dance included in the show 'Cádiz', a collective show in which El Junco and María José Franco appear, among others. Moreover, the late nights at the peña El Pozo de las Penas schedule small-scale gatherings with artists such as bailaora Pastora Galván and cantaora Rocío Bazán. The previous week, the festival offers educational activities and exhibits.
