Today’s flamenco dancing
rules the roost at Festival Flamenco de la Mistela 2007.

Bayón with ‘La puerta abierta’,
Belén Maya with ‘Souvenir’ and Javier
Barón with ‘Meridiana’ are part of
the lineup of the festival, which is to be held in the
Seville-area town of Los Palacios from October 11th to
27th, 2007. Appearing in the cante section are artists
of the likes of El Lebrijano, Remedios
Amaya and Rancapino. In this edition, the award for
young talents ‘Venencia flamenca’ will go
to pianist Pedro Ricardo Miño. The bill also considers
the children’s audience with the show ‘Malgama,
Circontemporáneo y Compás’ by Varuma
Teatro, as well as late nights and courses at Peña
Flamenca El Pozo de las Penas.
