Fuensanta la Moneta shares her live baile. The Granada-born bailaora releases her show ‘Extremo Jondo’ on DVD. The recording took place on August 11th, 2011 at the Corral del Carbón in Granada, closing the flamenco showcase Veranos del Corral 2011. That night, the artist was accompanied on stage by guitarist Miguel Iglesias, the show’s music director, by Jerez-born cantaor Miguel Lavi and by percussionist Miguel el Cheyenne. The show’s script, written by the bailaora and choreographer, strings nine different bailes, among them, romance, tangos, alegrías and serranas. As Jorge Fernández Bustos writes, “there are no fallacies concealed in this show where La Moneta is jonda and extreme. Jonda because she oozes flamenco flavor all over; extreme because she pushes herself to the limit, grazing unexplored shores, although she makes it all look as easy as a Sunday stroll”. ‘Extremo jondo’ has already been performed on stages like the 2011 Torrelodones Flamenco Festival and the 2012 Nîmes Flamenco Festival. The next dates are at Festival de Jerez 2012, where she will offer two performances on March 7th and 8th at the Sala Compañía, in the setting of the ‘Con nombre propio’ Series.
