The third Festival de Otoño de Granada bolsters its commitment to the art of flamenco. 'Encuentros Flamenco', a series to be held from the 4th to the 8th of December, 2002 in the Teatro Isabel la Católica, has announced a stellar lineup of dance, guitar and singing which includes the Jerez dancer Joaquín Grilo; dancer from Seville Manuela Carrasco accompanied by the cante of Chocolate; guitarist from Almería Tomatito; singer Carmen Linares from Jaén presenting the record 'Un ramito de locura'; and the young cantaora from Granada Marina Heredia. The program is rounded out with 'Trasnoches' (after-hours) in the Peña La Platería with cante and toque around midnight from the heart of the Albayzín. Last year on the same stages, the festival brought together flamenco artists such as Chano Lobato, Rancapino, Juan Habichuela, Javier Latorre, Miguel Poveda and Estrella Morente.
