Flamenco-world.com, April 2008
Following the success reaped
in the United States and London, Flamenco
Festival 2008 lands in Paris. From April 9th to 20th,
2008, the Théâtre Chaillot offers an abundant
lineup of first-rate baile, cante and toque shows. The
program kicks off with five galas by the Eva
Yerbabuena Company, which takes its latest show, ‘Santo
y seña’, to the French capital. Next, time
for two recitals: a cante one by Estrella Morente; and
another guitar one by the Tomatito Sextet. Three generations
of female flamenco dancing are displayed in the show ‘Mujeres’
on April 18th, starring Merche Esmeralda, Belén
Maya and Rocío Molina. The close will be taken
care of by Sevillian bailaor Javier Barón with
the show ‘Dos voces para un baile’.
