Niña Pastori renews her style. The Cádiz-born singer and cantaora tips the balance more to the side of pop than flamenco on her new studio disc ‘La orilla de mi pelo’. The album will come out on May 24th, although its title cut can already be heard as a single. The music video of this song, including the participation of international musicians like drummer Nathaniel Townsley and guitarist Jan Emil Ozveren, was shot in New York. As with ‘María’, ‘No hay quinto malo’ and ‘Esperando verte’ (winner of the 2009 Flamenco Latin Grammy), the album is produced by Julio Jiménez ‘Chaboli’, who is also a part of the lineup of instrumentalists together with keyboard player Alfonso Pérez and bass player Antonio Ramos, among others. In the words of Niña Pastori, “on this new album the songs consist of passion, romance, temptation, blood, sighs, purity, magic, flavor and joy”.
