Niña Pastori Tour. ‘Joyas prestadas’ 2006

Niña Pastori premieres once more. In late February 2006, the Cádiz-born cantaora is scheduled to release the sixth album of her career, which has the title ‘Joyas prestadas’. The new repertoire consists of versions of songs popularized by Alejandro Sanz, Joan Manuel Serrat, Juan Luis Guerra, Antonio Machín and Jeros, among others. Standing out are songs such as ‘Mediterráneo’, ‘Burbujas de amor’, ‘Angelitos negros’ and the copla ‘María de la O’, all of which were chosen by the artist herself. With the album's release, she is to go on a tour of several cities in Spain and is now planning her first agenda of performances around Latin America.

Juan Luis Guerra's song ‘Burbujas de amor’ will be the letter of introduction of Niña Pastori's sixth album. And the thing is that on ‘Joyas prestadas’, the cantaora transgresses musical genres and dares to take on great hits of music in Spanish previously popularized by artists such as Joan Manuel Serrat, Alejandro Sanz, Maná, Juan Luis Guerra, Antonio Machín, Manolo García, Luz Casal, Armando Manzanero, Jeros and Marifé de Triana. ‘Mediterráneo’, ‘Cuando nadie me ve’, ‘Vivir sin aire’, ‘Burbujas de amor’, ‘Angelitos negros’, ‘Pájaros de barro’, ‘Lo eres todo’, ‘Todavía’, ‘Hoy igual que ayer’ and ‘María de la O’ are some of the famous songs tackled by the cantaora.

The record, which will come out in late February, is produced by Nacho Mañó and Chaboli. Among the musicians who have taken part on the album are Josemi Carmona and Diego del Morao on guitar, Nacho Mañó and Antonio Ramos ‘Maka’ on bass, José María Cortina and Santi Navalón on keyboards, Chaboli on percussion, Angie Bao on drums and Antonio Serrano on harmonica.

As soon as the record comes out, the ‘Joyas prestadas’ tour will kick off. Niña Pastori is scheduled to perform between February and May in Spanish cities such as Bilbao, Barcelona, Jerez and Cádiz, among others. Afterwards, she will probably begin her first tour of Latin America.
