Pamplona remembers maestro Sabicas with
a flamenco guitar festival

Pepe Habichuela, Niño Josele and Pedro Sierra appear among the artists on the bill, which will be held in the capital of Navarre from August 28th to 30th, 2008

Flamenco-world.com, August 2008

The first act will be the hanging of a plaque on Mañueta Street in Pamplona in the presence of Juan Habichuela and Manolo Sanlúcar. Agustín Castellón Campos ‘Sabicas’ will thus be forever commemorated in his hometown. But the sound of guitar couldn’t be missing in a tribute to the maestro. The Sabicas Guitar Festival premieres from August 28th to 30th, 2008 with performances by tocaores such as Pepe Habichuela and Josemi Carmona - together in ‘Habichuela en rama’-, Niño Josele, Daniel Casares, Miguel Ochando and Jesús de Rosario. Workshops and master classes complete the program.
