Sara Baras will spend 2004 traveling the globe,
taking 'Mariana Pineda' as her flagship

This year world maps will be sprinkled with signs announcing forthcoming performances by Sara Baras here, there and everywhere. The bailaora from Cadiz, who shot to fame with the success of her dance production 'Mariana Pineda', has a full schedule for the year ahead, with shows programmed in countries like Spain, the U.S., Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Holland, Greece, Canada, France and Italy. She'll play some distinguished venues, like New York's City Center, and the Champs Elysées Theater in Paris, Barcelona's Teatro del Liceo and Madrid's Teatro Lope de Vega, playing several nights at some. Sara Baras, who was awarded the Spanish Premio Nacional de Danza 2003, is already penciling in bookings for 2005, with dates planned in Paris, Singapore and Hong Kong.
