The 5th Jazz and Flamenco Seminar - the only event of its kind in the world - is to be held between March 11th and 15th of this year. The event, to be held at Seville's Teatro Central, will cater this year not only for professional and amateur musicians, but also for "fans of the music who don't necessarily have a musical background." The elite band who will be presenting these Masterclasses comprises musicians Chano Domínguez, Jorge Pardo, Tino di Geraldo, Carles Benavent, Gerardo Núñez, Dorantes, Guillermo McGill, Diego Urcola, Avi Leibovich, Avishai Cohen, Jagil Baras, Mário Laginha, Josvani Terry, Eric McPherson, Jean-Marc Padovani, Ramón López, Jarrod Cagwin, Rabih Abou-Khalil and Jim Black, alongside vocalist Mario Joao and bailaora Carmen Cortés. In addition, professionals and students alike will take part every night in jam sessions, following on from concerts in the 'Jazz Viene del Sur' season. In the section dedicated to flamenco jazz, the season features performances by Chano Domínguez Sextet (Tuesday 11th), Jean-Marc Padovani with Esperanza Fernández (Thursday 13th), and the trio Jorge Pardo, Carles Benavent and Tino di Geraldo together with Dorantes (Friday 14th).
