The study of flamenco grows around the world. The master classes ofIsrael Galván and Arcángel will be the highlights of the courses organized by Taller Flamenco for the 2011 Mont de Marsan Flamenco Festival. The class given by the Seville-born dancer, who presents 'La edad de oro' in the festival, is titled “Solea por bulerías, bases to choreograph." The course of the singer from Huelva -with seats sold out- will focus on the basics of cante flamenco, a subject taught at this school for the first time. Given the high demand, the organization has added an additional course taught by the singer Alicia Gil. Joining them, teachers such as María Moreno, Mercedes de Córdoba, Luisa Palicio, Antonio Molina ‘El Choro’ and Felipe Mato will be on the dance school. The ‘maestros’ of the different guitar subjects will be Antonio Rey, Michele Iaccarino, Eugenio Iglesias and Pierre Pradal. José Carrasco will teach on box-drum and percussion, and the workshops of palms’ teachers will be Francisco Morales 'El Pulga' and Bobote. In total, nearly 400 pupils will follow these courses, which are held from July 3rd to 8th, at the School of Music and Dance in Mont de Marsan (France), in parallel with the twenty-third edition of its festival flamenco.
