Sara Baras, Juana Amaya and Farruquito, Tomatito, Arcángel and Chano Domínguez to participate in Flamenco Festival USA 2003

The Festival Flamenco USA is putting the finishing touches on the program for its third edition. From January 22nd to February 16th, 2003, the festival will bring to the USA more than eighty flamenco artists headed by the dancer Sara Baras who is presenting 'Mariana Pineda; flamenco dancers Juana Amaya and Farruquito who will be seen together in 'Por derecho', an original production made specially for the festival; Almería guitarist Tomatito with singer Arcángel from Huelva together on the same stage; and the pianist from Cádiz Chano Domínguez, guest artist with the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. In addition, 'Generaciones', a gala inauguration presentation will bring together Manolete, Antonio Canales, Juana Amaya, Farruquito and Farru on the stage of New York's City Center. The festival which is sponsored by the Junta de Andalucía's Consejería de Agricultura y Pesca (Andalusian council for agriculture and fishing), has expanded its circuit to eleven American cities, which nearly doubles last year's amount.
