Flamenco-world.com, October 2004
Four years after coming out with
‘Ciudad de las ideas’, Vicente
Amigo releases the live show on DVD of what was the
fourth album of his career, entitled ‘En
concierto desde Córdoba’. The audiovisual
has all the compositions from the Córdoba-born guitarist's
latest album plus ‘Callejón de la luna’,
a song from the album ‘De mi corazón al aire’
as a sort of introduction. The band accompanying Vicente
Amigo in this performance includes musicians such as percussionists
Tino di Geraldo and Bandolero; cantaor Blas Córdoba;
and Antonio Ramos on harmonica. ‘La tarde es caramelo’,
‘Tatá’, ‘Ciudad de las ideas’...
appear on this DVD - which, for the time being, has been
released in the PAL system - larger than life in the live
show and, thanks to the careful production, closer than
ever before.
As if to shorten the wait for his long-awaited
new album, Vicente Amigo releases the first audiovisual
with his music live. The DVD ‘In Concert from Córdoba’
complements the album ‘Ciudad
de las ideas’ with images and the magic of the
live show. Recorded in a performance at Córdoba's
Great Theater, the audiovisual contains all the tracks from
this latest album by the Córdoba-born guitarist:
‘La tarde es caramelo’, ‘Compare Manuel’,
‘Ciudad de las ideas’, ‘Bolero de Vicente’,
‘Tatá’, ‘Córdoba’,
‘Ojos de la Alhambra’ and ‘Tres notas
para decir te quiero’. As a prologue, he recovers
‘Calle de la luna’, a composition included on
the album ‘De mi corazón al aire’ with
which he wanted to pay tribute to maestro Juan
Habichuela.
