I agree that the CD is superb, I've been waiting for it and I enjoy it a lot.
Still, a "close" live performance a few months ago (and I'm talking about listening to his strings without ANY sound conditioning in between at all) gave me some of the deepest feelings of all my life, related to music or otherwise.

Comentario: Jeronimo takes the guitar to another level. Jeronimo is truly gifted and passionate. I would love to see him live (Please come to Dallas, Texas!). What he is doing for the flamenco guitar is the same as Paco De Lucia... setting a new standard!
I've been studying Jeronimo’s album and his arrangements are impeccable! You don’t have to like it, but you have respect that level of talent. People who don't respect that type of talent or level of playing are the same types of people, who didn't appreciate guys like Steve Vai, or Eddie Van Halen in their day. I’ve played Jeronimo’s CD for some “flamenco” people and heard, “That sounds like jazz, that’s not flamenco”. Those people aren’t used to thinking beyond what they know. Their ear is not trained to hear the complex falsetta’s within (or outside) the compas when Jeronimo play’s. They can’t understand that he may start on the (2 and) instead of 3 or 12 in a 12 beat cycle. They can’t comprehend his permutations or his approach like a horn player when it comes to his scales or picado technique. Jeronimo has an obvious understanding of music and writing, but the amazing thing is… he play’s it EFFORTLESSLY and PASSIONATELY!
I am passionate about flamenco and the guitar. I respect its roots from India to Spain, to here in the USA. Gypsy music comes in all forms (Lacto Drom). Even here in the United States, American Blues or American Jazz is deeply rooted from a repressed culture. I’m sure Jeromino is passionate about the guitar, flamenco and his root’s as well.
Music has to grow and continuously be influenced… if it didn't... we would all still be listening to medieval chanting.

You are right that his live performance is mind blowing. However, it is not true that his live performance is better than listening to his CD. The CD has something extra you can enjoy that you cannot find in the theatre. I guarantee you that listening to this album you can discover something truly special.

Comentario: Esté album es lo que yo estaba esperando; una gran riquesa y sensibilidad en el toque.
Jeronimo es un tocaor notable por su expresividad, el recurso a efectos técnicos y sobre todo por su busqueda de la melodia (a la vez clasica, flamenca y Jazz) y del desarrollo tematico por ejemplo muy grave en la rondeña "desde el espiritu".
Su estilo puede definirse melodioso por las harmonias y una gran fuerza en el toque.
Basta escuchar "desde el espiritu", "de Montoya, sabas a paco" para recoocer el enorme talento de este guitarrista.
El toque de Jeronimo rebasa las fronteras del flamenco acercandose por momentos del toque de la guitarra clasica y del Jazz con fuego.
Esté album se dirige a todos los aficionados, guitarristas y apasionados por esté instrumento.
...Un album a poseer y un talento a ver en concerto.
